At Dandenong North Primary School, we put an emphasis on teaching a core body of knowledge in Humanities (Geography and History). We believe that strong foundational knowledge of these areas is essential to understanding our world, our place within it, the key moments that have shaped our lives and armed with this knowledge, students are able to navigate today’s society with ease.

Our Humanities curriculum supports students to achieve academic excellence through carefully planned and sequenced topics that build cumulatively over time. Humanities lessons can be provided through inquiry or explicit instruction to ensure that children have the necessary knowledge for further studies at Secondary College.
