The City of Greater Dandenong Parking co-ordinator has provided the diagram below to assist parents to understand the different parking zones along both David and Cleeland Streets. The diagram states that parents and guardians are able to stop in the No Parking area, as long as they do not stay for longer than two minutes and they do not leave their car.
It is important that parents do not park in the No Stopping Zone as they will be booked by the parking inspector if he sees this violation of the parking laws. The No Stopping spaces have been put in place as these are the areas that are very close to crossings and when cars are parked in these spots, it obscures the vision of the Crossing Supervisor as they undertake their morning and afternoon role.
