Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are aware, the Australian Education Union has called on its members to take stop work action (not attend school) on Thursday, 23rd July 2026.
Dandenong North Primary School will be significantly impacted, with 42 teaching staff and 4 Education Support (ES) staff not attending on this day.
 
As a result, the school will operate a supervision only program rather than the usual teaching program.

Students in Foundation, Years 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are not required to attend.
Students in Year 2 will be supervised at school in large, mixed year level groups.

We will prioritise attendance for children of critical service workers and families with exceptional circumstances who are unable to make alternative arrangements.
 
If your child will need to attend school, please notify the school via email at dandenong.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au
 
Students attending on Thursday are required to report to the Gym at 9:00am, where they will be supervised and appropriate arrangements will be made for the day.
