DNPS has up to thirty Education Support Staff members who are employed to work alongside the classroom teache
r, or within designated withdrawal spaces. Our team have been trained to assist children across all spectrums of primary school and their duties may include maths assistance, literacy intervention, guidance and instruction of reading groups and first aid. To ensure the skill base is current and maintained, the Education Support Staff are encouraged to partake in whole school Professional Development and are provided with their own conference twice annually.
Education Support Staff may oversee students within small groups or on an individual basis. Our Education Support Staff are a dedicated team, with a diverse range of skills, experience and training. This rich mixture of expertise amongst the Education Support Staff has been successfully utilised to address student needs, student outcomes and to contribute to student welfare.
