The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at Dandenong North Primary School is an integral tool that enhances quality teaching. It delivers an engaging, exciting and innovative learning experience that empowers all students in achieving better learning outcomes, whilst maintaining a strong literacy and numeracy focus.
Our technology rich classrooms and lab are equipped with:
This year DNPS has further enhanced technology within the school by implementing iPads into the classroom to further enhance and support literacy and numeracy.
An ICT Coordinator leads a team of teachers from all areas of the school to ensure optimal transfer of knowledge to all staff relating to software, hardware purchases and installations, and technical issues.
A specialist teacher develops and models teaching strategies and approaches for the development and application of ICT skills. These skills are then integrated into the literacy and numeracy activities within the classroom.
The Computer Club is available for students to attend weekly during lunch time where they have the opportunity to research, explore or simply finish off work.
